This is an invention of mine which I call “Story Quilt” and is loosely based on the “Eye Spy” quilts. I have duplicate pieces in the quilt to play memory with like the “Eye Spy” quilts. However, I then deviated from the plan and have implemented a lot of other design elements along the way. The quilt goes from dark to light starting at the top to the bottom. The squares with the hearts in them are from the same colour family and move around the quilt in a heart design through the colour wheel. All four seasons, winter, spring, summer and fall are represented in different areas as well as Christmas, Valentine’s Day, Easter, St. Patrick’s Day, and Hallowe’en, excepting Thanksgiving and New Years.

For the last several years, I have been making the quilt labels for the Lions Gate Quilter’s Guild “Community Quilts” Program.
