What fun to play with food!
This method has endless possibilities of layering with paint and or stencils, is easy, fast, and is a good art method to share with children. And one could go home at the end of the day with a finished project.
Here are my results of this one day workshop:
The wall runner is made up of all the pieces (rejects) I did not want to include in my main wall hanging below.
As you can see, I have run a gradiation of not only colours but also scenery as I go down the length of the wall hanging. Starting with a sunset sky at the top, moving to the top of the ocean, down through life in the ocean and ending up with life at the bottom of the ocean. This is just the first step for me as I would like to apply other mixed media in layers to these squares to practice and experiment with what I have learned over the last year.
This next piece consists of all the pieces I have put to gether to make the wall hanging.
I again have run a gradiation of not only colours but also scenery as I go down the length of the wall hanging. Starting with a sunset sky at the top, moving to the top of the ocean, down through life in the ocean and ending up with life at the bottom of the ocean but on a bigger scale than the wall runner above.
This is the first draft and the pieces will stay in vertical position but may move in horizontal position as I apply other mixed media in layers to these squares.
The pieces also show different styles as throughout this process, I became more relaxed, adventurous and started to have real fun as I applied different drawing and stamping techniques to the process.
Thank you Eileen for sharing!
